Professor Abbas Ghaderi 

Founder and Director of the Shiraz Institute for Cancer Research Center 

He is also a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Immunology at the School of Medicine. Professor Abbas Ghaderi completed his graduate studies in Immunology at the University of Birmingham in England. He has extensive postdoctoral research experience from Kurume University and Osaka University in Japan.

Professor Ghaderi is an expert in tumor immunology and is recognized as a pioneer in developing the cancer research infrastructure in the southern region of the country. His work has significantly elevated the scientific reputation of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in the field of oncology. Through numerous research projects and publications in reputable international journals, he has made substantial contributions to cancer oncology. One of his key achievements is founding and editing the Iranian Journal of Immunology, which has been under his leadership since 2004. This peer-reviewed journal, published in English, is indexed in major international databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science.
