Cancer Biobank
Shiraz Cancer Biobank was established in 1998 by collecting DNA and sera from cancer patients through creation of a network between our Institute and Shiraz University Hospitals. Apart from DNA, RNA, sera and plasma demographic and clinicopathologic data of patients have been collected. Our collection is recognized as an important data resource for research and collaboration at the national and international levels.
Ongoing projects
Assessment of the killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs) gene content in the patients with cervical cancer in comparison to healthy women
The Analysis of Malt1 and H19 LncRNAs expression in meningioma patients and their correlation with pathogenesis and disease progression
Evaluation of single nucleotide polymorphisms (rs217727 and rs2839698) of LncRNA and risk of ovarian cancer
Evaluation of serum vitamin D and VDR gene in patients with temporomandibular disorders
Investigation of PD-1 gene variant [position PD-1.5 (+7785C/T- rs2227981) in patients with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in comparison with healthy individuals
