Deputy for Education at the Shiraz Institute for Cancer Research Center

Dr. Mohammad Javad Fattahi, an Assistant Professor of Medical Immunology and a faculty member at this Cancer, has been appointed as the Center’s Deputy for Education since November 2025. He holds a PhD in Medical Immunology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. His main research interests include cancer immunology, biobanking, and tumor immunometabolism. Dr. Fattahi has published more than 60 scientific articles in reputable international journals indexed in PubMed/ISI and has served as the principal investigator for several approved university research projects. He also has an outstanding record in education, including:

-Teaching specialized courses in medical immunology and cancer immunology at the PhD and MSc levels
-Supervising and advising PhD and subspecialty dissertations, MSc theses, and professional doctoral (MD and DDS) theses
-Organizing specialized workshops for students and researchers

His main priorities in this role include:

-Planning and supervising specialized and subspecialized training courses in oncology

-Developing research fellowship programs in cancer immunology

-Coordinating the Center’s national and international scientific workshops and seminars

-Strengthening educational collaborations with leading cancer research centers worldwide
